THE success of the Malton Farmers Market is growing.
The crowd on Saturday in the livestock market sheep shed was a big as there has been since the markets began and there were more than 30 stalls offering a range of goods.
One of the star attractions was the poultry auction, with more than 200 lots on offer. The general auction, featuring garden equipment, also did well. Those two aspects of the market have been growing in strength.
"It was a real success," said a spokesman. "There was a very good atmosphere."
The farmers markets are held monthly.
