A TRAINING centre set up to make Ryedale youngsters more employable has moved into its new premises and is getting set for a grand official opening.
Derwent Training Association has moved to a new purpose-built building on the York Road Industrial estate, in Malton.
The opening ceremony will be performed tomorrow by Lord Derwent, the Deputy Lieutenant of North Yorkshire, who will then be given a tour of the building and its facilities.
The centre is vocational and helps train mainly young people in computer skills and engineering.
The new premises, which have been fitted out with new IT equipment were paid for with the help of cash grants from the Single Regeneration Budget and the Ryedale Regeneration Partner-ship.
Trainees are sent to the centre by their employers to take part in a modern apprentice programme for further training.
