Joseph Rowntree School's Boys' Under-15 tennis team have capped a fine season by qualifying for the National Knockout final in September.
To reach the final, the team of Tom Walters, James Langley, James Wilkinson, Mark Christie and Peter Wheeler beat Bootham 5-1, Pocklington 5-1 and All Saints 6-0.
The squad is coached by Sybil Glover.
Rowntree boys also impressed in the County Championships held at Queen Margaret's School. Tom Walters teamed up with Bootham's Matthew Vine to win the under-15s county title, while James Want and Harry Pashby were runners-up in the Under-13s.
Joseph Rowntree School were also unbeaten in this season's State Schools tennis league at Under-15 level.
