Pop The Cork, who landed some good bets at Beverley last week, heads to Hamilton tomorrow and gives punters a knocking opportunity to play up some of their winnings.
The sprinter, trained near Leeds by Richard Whitaker, lines up for the day's feature race, the £10,000 Tote Exacta Handicap, and is strongly fancied to oblige again in the hands of Dean McKeown.
Pop The Cork's latest success, gained in fine style after starting a well-backed favourite, was achieved in an apprentices' race, which means he has no penalty to carry tomorrow.
This looks a more competitive race, with last year's winner, Tancred Times, and Nigel Tinkler's Goretski, a good third at Newcastle on Saturday, in opposition. But Pop The Cork is expected to come out on top again.
Prix Star gets the nap vote in the Game, Set And Match Classified Stakes over six furlongs.
Chris Fairhurst's sprinter ended a losing spell, which had stretched back more than two years, when winning in decisive fashion over this course and distance last week.
Now that he has broken the ice, Prix Star, from a Middleham stable which has struck form with a vengeance recently, is napped to follow up. Joe Fanning again has the mount.
John Berry may have one of the smallest strings in Newmarket, but the trainer is a shrewd operator and he can make his journey to Scotland worthwhile with Stormy Crest in the McLean Homes Classified Stakes.
A winner at Ayr two outings ago, Stormy Crest finished a creditable second to Duc's Dream at Goodwood on his latest outing, beaten only three-quarters of a length.
He can get back on the winning trail here with George Duffield, who rode him at Ayr, back on board.
James Hetherton has his horses in rude health at present and the Norton trainer has good prospects of adding to his score with Ace Of Trumps in the Tote Bookmakers Series Handicap Qualifier.
The five-year-old seems to like this track and scored here last week in pleasing fashion. Although he has more to do this time, it would come as no surprise to see Ace Of Trumps hold the winning hand again and provide Joe Fanning, rider of Prix Star, with a double.
At Yarmouth, Cape Town looks capable of winning the £10,000 Trett Consulting Conditions Stakes over seven furlongs.
Richard Hannon's four-year-old is without a preparatory race this season, but he proved a most consistent campaigner last term and, although his fitness has to be taken on trust, he comes from a yard whose horses are rarely far from peak form.
Richard Mullen had mixed luck at Doncaster yesterday, controversially losing one race in the stewards room on head winner Nashaab before steering the long odds-on Bogus Dreams to an easy victory.
Mullen has good prospects of another winner tomorrow, courtesy of Face D Facts, who needs only to reproduce her best form to take a hand in the finish.
