Darryll Holland, who completed a magnificent five-timer at the last Doncaster meeting, can again make his presence felt on Town Moor tomorrow.
The top-flight jockey is fancied to complete a treble on Stallone, Smart Predator and Big Moment.
Stallone is awarded my Nap vote in the 'Home of Sunday Racing' Handicap following his luckless effort at Redcar last Saturday.
David Nicholls' charge finished a close-up fifth to Eurolink Artemis, but left the distint impression he would have given the winner plenty to think about had he not been hemmed in on the rails for much of the last two furlongs.
Well worth another chance, especially with Holland taking over the mount, Stallone is fancied to gain quick compensation.
Smart Predator, trained by John Quinn at Settrington, won a valuable handicap at York in May.
He has since finished unplaced at Musselburgh and at Royal Ascot, but he was far from disgraced on either occasion and Holland is expected to work the oracle in bringing him back to winning form in the Bet Tax Free In The Ring Rated Handicap.
Big Moment, runner-up in his last two races, can make it third-time-lucky in the Countrywide Freight Maiden Stakes.
The Barry Hills-trained three-year-old may have most to fear from Henry Cecil's newcomer, Quebeck, though the betting market may be the best guide to the chances of the Warren Place hope.
Doncaster also plays host to a qualifying round of the Mail On Sunday Mile Series Handicap and Unshaken, despite a wide draw, is expected to run a big race.
Eric Alston's charge has bounced back to form since being upped in trip and he is marginally preferred to Tim Easterby's Clever Girl, winner of two races in the last week, who has also drawn a wide berth in this 20-runner cavalry charge.
Richard Fahey by-passes Doncaster in favour of Goodwood and the Ryedale trainer can be handsomely rewarded.
Fahey's Surprised should not be overlooked in the £20,000 Vodafone Stewards' Cup Trial Handicap.
The Ryedale raider, a Hamilton winner two outings ago, ran a solid race in defeat at Pontefract on his latest start when finishing fourth to Technician from a poor draw.
A winner last season over tomorrow's course and distance, this decent sprinter should make a bold bid in the hands of Seb Sanders.
The Mail On Sunday Mile Handicap (Qualifier) looks a tricky race to solve, but again Fahey should have a big say, courtesy of Dakota Sioux, a short-head winner at Thirsk recently.
Also worth noting on the Sussex Downs are David Nicholls' Hormuz (2.00) and the promising Tijnouska (2.30)
Over the sticks at Stratford, champion jockey Tony McCoy is unlikely to go through the afternoon empty-handed.
McCoy has a strong book of rides and looks likely to score on Andaleer (2.30), Galant Moss (2.50) and Caxton Star (5.25).
