AS a long-time Roxy Music fan, I feel I must take exception to certain parts of Charles Hutchinson's review (June 20. For any piece of journalism to be taken seriously, the underlying facts must be correct.
The percussionist playing on Tuesday evening was Julia Thornton, not Fordham, as stated in the article.
The lyrics quoted were from Do The Strand not Virginia Plain. The emphasis placed on Brian Eno not being part of proceedings was also too high, seeing as Eno only appeared on the first two Roxy Music albums.
I was pleased to see most of old material being performed, and was not at all disappointed at the lack of early Eighties' softer Roxy Music.
