Andy Hutchinson is the new Evening Press/Guildford Construction York Wasps Player of the Year.
The absence of his nearest challenger, injured Darren Crake, from the line-up last week handed the title to big prop forward Hutch.
And just for good measure he weighed in with another storming performance against Widnes, collecting two points as the second best player.
He received his trophy and cheque for £350, courtesy of sponsors Guildford Construction, this week.
Hutchinson, signed from Hull amateurs Sutton Trust halfway through the season, said £100 of the money would go into the players' pot for the end of season trip to Blackpool.
The rest will no doubt be put to good use when he goes on holiday to Tenerife next week
The £150 second prize is now between former Wasp Gareth Dobson and second rower Darren Crake.
Crake needs two points in the last game against Leigh tomorrow for a share of the cash.
A man of the match performance would give him the prize outright but anything less would hand the runner-up spot to Gareth Dobson, who is now playing for Sheffield Eagles.
Skipper Alan Pallister moved up to joint fourth place with a man of the match display against Widnes.
Pally has led by example in recent weeks with some top class performances when it has been needed most.
That has earned him the Supporters' Club Player of the Year award which was presented this week by chairman Louise Ince.
Full-back Mike Hall has really begun to shine in the last few games and he gets the third and final point on offer against Widnes for some crucial tackles.
In a new points system designed this season, the top player in each match is awarded three points, the second best player two points and the third best one.
Points so far: Andy Hutchinson 19, Gareth Dobson 15, Darren Crake 13, Gareth Lloyd 11, Alan Pallister 11, Michael Smith 10, Lee Badauskas 10, Mick Ramsden 10, Craig Moore 7, Shaun Austerfield 7, Mark Spears 6, Paddy Handley 6, Nathan Pincher 5, Gareth Stephens 4, Craig Forsyth 4, Mike Hall 4, Andy Precious 3, Aaron Campbell 3, Danny Waite 3, Neil Harmon 3, Ryan Hardy 2, Gareth Oulton 2, Jason Gatus 2, Jamie Benn 2, Darren Hughes 2, Chris Allen 2, Scott Acklam 2, Leroy McKenzie 1, Spencer Hargrave 1, Carl Bristow 1, Shane Cochran 1, Gavin Molloy 1, Steve Thickbroom 1.
Rob Roberts, who played two games for York earlier in the season, has been named in the NFP team of the month for June.
Roberts has turned in some impressive performances for Keighley to be named as the top loose forward.
Dewsbury's York-based Dan Potter has also made it into the team in the second row.
Rochdale centre Matt Calland was named player of the month.
Team of the month: Mickey Johnson (Gateshead), Adrian Flynn (Dewsbury), Matt Calland (Rochdale), Brendan O'Meara (Rochdale), Marlon Billy (Rochdale), Andy Bastow (Featherstone), Keith Brennan (Oldham), Lee Hansen (Swinton), Phil Cantillon (Widnes), Simon Knox (Widnes), Sean Richardson (Widnes), Dan Potter (Dewsbury), Rob Roberts (Keighley).
Good news has emerged regarding young Wasps Academy forward Tom Lyons, who suffered a severely bruised spinal cord in the match at Workington a fortnight ago.
After spending the week in a Cumbrian hospital, Tom was released last Saturday and was at the Academy's home game against Oldham last week.
He is unlikely to play again this season but is keen to get back into action as soon as possible.
- This is the last Di's Diary of the season. A full review of the season and completed statistics will appear in the Evening Press.
