York Amateur Bowling Association Veterans' Section Maddison Cup holders Nestl 'B' were eliminated from this year's competition, losing 17-11 to Holgate.
Railway Institute will have two teams in the quarter-finals, Amateurs beating Nestl 'A' 24-16 and Corinthians beating Wigginton 'A' 24-10.
Forum 'A' knocked out previously unbeaten Scarcroft 21-6.
In the Coronation Cup, Museum won on the last end against Poppleton 'C' 15-14.
The two Acomb rinks had a fluctuating game before the 'B' team beat the 'A' team 20-16.
Fulford Conservatives 'A' played a man short against Bert Keech 'C' and lost 24-13.
In League one games Barbican beat nearest challengers Nestl 'A' 19-16 to open up a four-point gap at the top.
In League two Forum 'B' had an outstanding win over leaders Bert Keech 'B' 15-11 and take over at the top of the league. Wigginton 'B' maintained their challenge with a 16-14 win over Fulford Conservatives 'B'.
Dunnington 'C' beat Wigginton 'C' 23-10 and, with Nestl 'C' losing against Bootham Conservatives 22-14, Dunnington now head the table.
Scarcroft beat Acomb 'A' 29-11 and, with nearest rivals West Park 'A' losing 19-8 at Poppleton 'A', they now lead the table by seven points.
The top four teams in League five all gained two points so West Park 'B' are still on top.
League six leaders Acomb 'C' lost at home to Copmanthorpe 'C' 17-12 and stay top on shots difference over Holgate, who beat West Park 'C' 15-13.
