York City Baths Club swimmers gained two gold and two bronze medals from the North-Eastern Counties Championships at Sheffield.
Lewis Porylo was in fine form to win the 15 years 100 metres breaststroke well within the National Age-Group Qualifying Time. Tom Southam picked up bronze in the same event also with the NAQT.
In the battle for the 12 years 200 metres breaststroke title Robert Kinnell touched home first 0.06sec ahead, again in a NAQT.
Jenny Hoggard gained a bronze in the 16 years 200m butterfly, also within the NAQT, and finished fifth in the 200m individual medley.
Other York swimmers with top-eight finishes were: Alice Sunderland 4th, 11 years 400m freestyle; William Peeke-Vout 4th, 11 yrs 200m backstroke; Sarah Kinnell 6th, 16 years 200m freestyle; Phillip Graves 8th, 12 years 800m free.
Personal best times were also posted by Luke Hutchinson, Craig Jackson, Michelle Moffatt, Mark Howarth, Eilidh MacDonald, Sarah Walker, Marie Walker, Andrew Fowler, J J Blackwell, Gawain Ng, Sophie Calpin, Mairi MacDonald.
YCBC's haul from the second round of the Continuum Grand Prix grade meet at Harrogate was ten gold, eight silver and 12 bronze.
Rachel Stotten and Mairi MacDonald topped the medal list with three golds and one bronze each. Rachel's golds came in the 16 years and over 100m breaststroke, 100m IM and the 200m butterfly. Her bronze was in the 50m free.
Mairi collected golds in the 15 years 100m IM, 200m free and the 50m free. Her bronze came in the 100m breaststroke.
Rachel Easthough, competing in the ten to 11 years age group, returned with two golds in the 50m butterfly and 100m IM, and silver in the 200m backstroke. Lucy Recchia picked up one gold and one silver in the ten/11 years 200m backstroke and 200m free.
J J Blackwell also picked up one gold and one silver in the 15 years 200m free and 100m backstroke.
Sabrina Rapp took silver in the 14 years 100m butterfly and three bronze in the 200m butterfly, 100m backstroke and 50m 'fly. Kate Howlier took silver in the 13 years 100m 'fly and bronze in the 50m backstroke.
Silver medals were also picked up by Nicola Lampard in the 14 years 50m breaststroke, Laura Cuttill in the 13 years 200m 'fly, Ashleigh Husband, in the 12 years 200m breaststroke and Sam Bradley in the 13 years 200m breaststroke.
Bronze medals were won by Michelle Moffatt (11 years 100m IM), Sarah Walker (13 years 100m IM), Nick Boaz (14 years 100m breaststroke) and Lauren Mason (13 years 100m 'fly).
Andrew Fowler picked up three bronzes in the 12 years 50m backstroke, 50m butterfly and 50m breaststroke.
Sophie Calpin and Michelle Moffatt picked up two speed-ing tickets each and Phillip Graves one speeding ticket.
