ECHOING Mike Usherwood's top tip for cyclists to save up for lights for their bikes (June 27), I have the following suggestions.
Motorists could save up £1 a week to fund eye examinations for themselves, then they might be able to see other road-users and position their vehicles properly instead of driving in the gutter.
Motorists should try exercising their neck muscles by moving their heads from side to side, then they would have no difficulty in using both wing mirrors.
All motorists should be re-tested regularly (every five or ten years), while all professional motorists should be re-tested annually.
