Pocklington Rugby Union Club players will ease themselves back into action in unusual fashion.
They are to undergo a series of breakfast training sessions for the next three Saturdays, prior to watching the televised Australia versus British Lions Test matches in the Percy Road clubhouse.
The Lions are in action on Saturdays, June 30, July 7 and July 14.
It will be open house at Percy Road on each of those mornings with a light 'touch and pass' session at 9am for all current, new and prospective players, prior to watching the matches. The club will provide breakfast for all the trainers.
Pocklington's junior rugby section is joining in, and youngsters of all ages are also welcome to come along at 9am. Any other supporters or non-players who want to watch the Lions can miss out on the touch and pass, and arrive at the clubhouse in time for the games.
The aim of the breakfast sessions will be to let the players get the feel of the ball and have a gentle run-out before pre-season training starts in mid-July.
