Champions Marcia, FC Magnet and York University 'A' will be favourites to make it to the final of the University of York Six-a-side football tournament.
All three sides headed their respective pools with a 100 per cent record, while the remaining two group winners, Stamford Bridge and Clifton, also stayed unbeaten.
The three other teams who qualified for the quarter-finals as best runners-up were York University '3', Guppy's Removals and Fulford Bay, all free-scoring teams who lost only once during the group stages.
The quarter-finals, lasting 20 minutes each way, take place tonight, with the semi-finals, third-place play-off and final, all lasting 15 minutes each way, tomorrow.
No tied games will go to penalties. Instead, there will be seven minutes each way of 'golden goal' extra time plus, if necessary, continuous extra time with one then two outfield players from either team being removed from the pitch.
In the ladies section, York City Reserves completed their campaign with a 6-0 thrashing of York University to finish their group with a 100 per cent record.
