A nap hand of athletic endeavour has been rewarded with county honours for five pupils from Queen Margaret's School in Escrick, near York.
Four of the quintet - Laura Jarvis, Natalie Cooper, Mary Gore-Booth and Jessica Parkinson - have all qualified to represent North Yorkshire in the inter-counties athletics championships in their respective age groups.
Meanwhile, Elizabeth Hodgkinson qualified to represent North Yorkshire in this month's multi-event athletics competition at Jarrow.
