Yorkshire went into their Benson and Hedges Cup semi-final match with Gloucestershire at Headingley today guaranteed to pick up £15,500 in prize money.
That is the amount they will receive should they lose against the title-holders.
But if they make it to the Lord's final the winners will receive £52,000 and the runners up £26,000.
A capacity crowd of just over 6,000 was at the match and with the weather set fair they were in for an exciting day's cricket.
Yorkshire skipper David Byas was confident his team would go through to Lord's, despite Gloucestershire's formidable record.
The visitors have won both the knockout competitions for the last two years and last season they also notched the Norwich Union League Division One title.
Gloucestershire's Benson and Hedges Cup final win in 1999 was at Yorkshire's expense and in they same season they also overcame them in the semi-finals of the NatWest Trophy.
Gloucestershire again held the upper hand earlier this season when Yorkshire travelled to Bristol in the Norwich Union League and were beaten by five wickets, but Byas believes that Yorkshire should be too strong for them this time with Darren Gough spearheading the best bowling attack in the country.
