Relatives with the surname Train met up for their annual get-together at the museum on Saturday.
Pictured from left are Ian Train and his wife, Juliet, from Sussex, Wendy Train, from Stansted, Essex, and her children, Nicholas, four, Eleanor, five, and husband Mark.
About 600 guests were expected at the party, including 60 members of the Train clan - but sadly, only a few still bear the distinctive surname.
David and Juliet Wright, of Huntington Road, York, organised the event at the museum, where David is curator of collections.
Juliet is linked via her great-uncle, Sir Landale Train.
