YORK'S guardian angel has hung up his wings.
What will the city do without the wonderful Dr John Shannon, pictured?
As a York resident, and for the last 12 years a friend of Dr Shannon, I should like to thank him for the 38 years of his life he has dedicated to making the city a better and more beautiful place for myself and family to live.
It is an honour and inspiration knowing such a kind and gentle person.
Cheers to a happy retirement.
Carol Farrar and family,
Pottery Lane,
