Jockey Frankie Dettori and trainer Ed Dunlop, who did this column a good turn yesterday when producing Surprise Encounter to win the Royal Hunt Cup, can do the business again tomorrow.
On the final day of the Royal Ascot meeting, Dettori and Dunlop join forces once again in the Wokingham Handicap and can lift the spoils with Deep Space, who is awarded the nap vote.
Winner of the corresponding race two years ago, Deep Space finished fourth last year to Harmonic Way.
Although without a win this season, his form has been most encouraging and his latest effort, when a creditable third to Bishops Court at Epsom, was over an inadequate five furlongs.
Back over six furlongs tomorrow, Deep Space has an outstanding chance in this 30-runner cavalry charge, which is also the target of his stablemate Candleriggs, a horse part-owned by Sir Alex Ferguson.
The mount of Kieren Fallon, Candleriggs finished a good second at York on his reappearance last month. He is in with a real shout here but Deep Space is preferred.
Michael Jarvis, enjoying a wonderful campaign, can clinch the feature race, the £250,000 Coronation Stakes, with Ameerat, the mount of Philip Robinson.
This classy filly underlined her prowess when winning the 1,000 Guineas on her seasonal debut and there is every reason to believe she will take all the beating here on the strength of that performance.
Jarvis and Robinson can complete a double with Life Is Life in the two and three-quarter miles Queen Alexandra Stakes, the longest race of the meeting.
Henry Cecil is still awaiting his first success of the meeting but the Warren Place maestro can set the record straight with Wellbeing in the £135,000 Hardwicke Stakes.
The four-year-old just failed to collar Mutafaweq in the Coronation Cup at Epsom but the winner got first run that day and also had the benefit of racing on the inside rail.
Wellbeing can now turn the tables and also take care of Lucido, who is two-for-two this season after returning to form with a vengeance.
The Windsor Castle Stakes offers former jump-jockey Jamie Osborne the opportunity of his first Royal Ascot winner. Now training at Lambourn, Osborne saddles the Pat Eddery-ridden Irony and this easy Haydock winner is fancied to take plenty of catching.
At Redcar, Thewhirlingdervish looks the one to be on in the Gribdale Rating Related Maiden Auction Stakes. Tim Easterby's gelding is no star, but he has shown enough to suggest that a race of this modest calibre is within his grasp.
Carol Williams teams up with Best Bond in the 'Hand To Rouf' Lady Amateur Riders' Maiden Han-dicap and looks set for a winning ride on Nick Littmoden's four-year-old, who is overdue a victory.
Thirsk stages an additional fixture on Wednesday, June 27 starting at 2pm. It's a meeting transferred from Carlisle, which is still unable to hold meetings due to foot and mouth restrictions.
The race titles have been taken from the existing programme, with the feature race being The Carlisle Bell, a £10,000 Showcase Handicap over one mile, one of the oldest races in Britain, originating during the reign of Queen Elizabeth I.
Members of Carlisle and Catterick - another course to be affected by foot and mouth - will be admitted free to the Members' Enclosure.
