The Millennium Bridge and York Railway Station became the two latest venues to become dancing stages for Dance Week York.
Part of the festival has been christened Dance 2001: A Space Oddity, to encourage dancers to opt for more unusual dancing venues.
Children from St George's RC Primary School in Fishergate walked down to the Millennium Bridge for their appearance.
Head teacher Helen Glendinning said they were raising money for a new roof. Appropriately, the young dancers, either clutching umbrellas or wearing hardhats, danced to It's Raining In and Bob The Builder.
At the station, members of Tang Hall Community Circle Dance Group showed off circle dances from around the world.
Another highlight was the Move And Groove at 5 Past 2 where groups across the city were urged to dance all at the same time yesterday.
Among those boogying at Robert Wilkinson Primary School, in Strensall, there could be spotted teen idols Britney Spears, S Club 7, Geri Halliwell and Limp Bizkit.
