I WISH to reply to Mr Roderic Parker's letter ('Time to talk', June 4.) I became aware of the advanced stage of the plan only at a district council meeting on May 15 and even then we were only shown sketch drawings.
Mr Parker is a member of the Regeneration Partnership through which this scheme was channelled. Ms Bell, Mr Parker's wife, also a town councillor, attended the site meeting.
Did they feel no obligation to see that consultation processes were followed?
More importantly, do they intend to make it impossible for lorries to park legally overnight in central Tadcaster?
Jean Ashton,
Rosemary Court, Tadcaster.
