What may be the last remaining agricultural show in North Yorkshire - The Bishop Wilton Show - has been axed because of the foot and mouth crisis.
It is believed the event would have been the only agricultural show to be held this year.
The show's cancellation has been a disappointing, but not unexpected, blow for local farmers.
In the last two months, all of the county's major shows have fallen victim to the crisis.
Among the events cancelled are the Great Yorkshire, the Ryedale, the Malton, the Farndale and Danby Shows. Earlier this month, the Driffield Show was called off after further cases of foot and mouth disease were found at farms near Settle.
Organisers of the Bishop Wilton Show, which was set to take place near Stamford Bridge on July 21, were aiming to go ahead as planned.
A show spokesman said: "The annual show in the village has been cancelled because it was believed it was not safe to stage it on agricultural land. Hopefully, it will return next year."
