HALF-BACK Gareth Oul-ton could have played his last game for York Wasps after failing to show up for training this week.
Oulton was unhappy at being substituted early on in last week's defeat by Dewsbury Rams because he was not following instructions.
He has not been since at the club since and coach Lee Crooks said: "If that's the way he wants to behave then so be it.
"I'm not going to chase after him."
Oulton has been almost ever present since joining York from amateurs Lock Lane near the start of the season.
His place at scrum-half is likely to be taken by fellow goal-kicker Danny Waite for tomorrow's clash with Sheffield Eagles at Don Valley Stadium (kick-off 3.15pm).
The Wasps could also be without prop Andy Hutchinson and centre Craig Moore.
Hutchinson suffered a suspected broken hand in last week's game while Moore has been out with a twisted knee.
Into the side comes Leroy Rivett for his debut, either on the wing or in the centre.
The Wasps should also welcome back winger Simon Wray, who is expected to recover from a twisted knee to encounter the club which loaned him to York.
There will be rivalry on the Sheffield side too as they could include four ex-Wasps players.
Hooker Gareth Dobson, who left York in April, played his best game for Sheffield in last week's 26-14 defeat by Keighley, a result which just about ended their play-off aspirations.
He will be joined by fellow pack men Richard Goddard at loose forward and prop Steve Hill.
Goddard has been struggling with an ankle injury but is expected to play.
However, there is a doubt over former York second rower Chris Judge.
He was due to see a specialist yesterday about a foot injury which could rule him out.
York-based former Leeds Rhinos' half-back Scott Rhodes is also doubtful.
He has been undergoing treatment for a knee injury and has a dislocated thumb.
Definitely ruled out of action through suspension are winger Bright Sodje and prop Ricky Wright.
Player-coach Mark Aston will make his 400th appearance if he overcomes a troublesome hand problem.
