ARGUABLY the greatest Olympian joined celebs who were out in force at York Races for the Batley Cash and Carry charity bash.
Five-times Olympic gold medallist Steve Redgrave may have been forgiven for thinking he would have to row home after afternoon storms lashed Knavesmire yesterday.
Rain did not stop play either for legendary test cricket umpire Dickie Bird, who joined Mr Redgrave and comedian Peter Wallis at the racecourse.
Meanwhile, local celebrity Harry Gration was also there with Look North's new recruit Christa Ackroyd.
