MASKED revelry will come to York's Museum Gardens next month when a Venetian Carnival marks the end of the city's Early Music Festival.
The carnival takes place on July 15, the last day of the festival, and there will be a prize for the best mask on show.
To help people along with creating masks, workshops will be staged by the Early Music Foundation's education manager, Cathy Dew, at the Early Music Centre, in St Margaret's Church, Walmgate, on June 23 and 24.
Admission to the workshops and materials are free and people of all ages are invited to take part.
