POLICE were called out to deal with two more incidents involving gangs of youths gathering in Etty Avenue, Tang Hall,York, last night.
In the first at about 11.10pm, residents called to complain of noise caused by a group of 20 youths. A few were riding up and down the street on a moped.
At 11.30pm police were called out again when a group in a snicket off Etty Avenue started throwing bottles. An extra police car was called out to deal with the trouble.
No damage was caused to cars but the youths were warned and residents were advised to report incidents as soon as possible.
The incidents follow another in the Kingsway North area on Thursday night which started with the theft of a red Escort car from Peter Hill Drive at 8pm.
Police were called later when residents saw the car being driven up the grass in the centre of Kingsway North. Then just before midnight they were called out again when youths set fire to the car at the Kingsway roundabout.
The fire service was called and minor damage was caused to the car.
