A gun salute will take place in York tomorrow to celebrate the Queen's official birthday.
The Lord Mayor of York, Coun Irene Waudby, will take the Salute in the Museum Gardens.
It will be fired to coincide with the Trooping the Colour in London, which marks the 49th anniversary of the Queen's accession to the throne.
The City of York is one of only 12 saluting stations in the United Kingdom. Royal Salutes consist of the firing of 21 rounds from four guns at fifteen-second intervals.
Firing starts on the stroke of midday and the ceremony is scheduled to end at 12.30pm.
