Kelfield notched up their first win of the season in the Horwath Pulleyn Heselton League when they beat Wheldrake by four wickets in thrilling fashion.
They clinched a long overdue second division victory with a boundary off the last ball.
Colin Markham (62) and Andy Fairburn (33) provided the bulk of Wheldrake's 134 for 7.
Kelfield made a nightmare start to their chase, losing their first two wickets without a run scored.
If Wheldrake had held their catches two more wickets would also have fallen but Kelfield made the most of their escape as Greg Moulds (74) put on 104 for the third wicket with Andy Atkinson.
Wickets then began to fall but seven-wicket pair Steve Schofield and Martin Rhodes inched their way towards victory which was sealed by a dramatic four.
York Post Office inflicted the first defeat of the season on leaders Thorpe Willoughby.
Martin Baggaley propped up the Post Office innings of 117 for 7 with a patient 36 against the accurate Dave Watson who returned 6 for 42 from 20 overs.
David Hughes and Glynn Botterill soon had Thorpe Willoughby on the ropes taking the first three wickets for eight runs. At 27 for 5 Paul Bogie and Martin Cooke dug in and took the score to 64 when James Ledgeway struck, the innings closing at 87 for 9.
British Sugar were dismissed for 60 against Drax whose Paul Vickers and Phil Chaston took the bowling honours. In reply Drax were well positioned at 27 for 1 until Wayne Bellerby and Andy Heaton found their line and length and skittled Drax for 57.
Fulfordgate skipper Keith Pepper, dropped off the third ball, made Westow pay with a handsome century.
He and Pete Fairburn had 78 on the board inside 12 overs. Alan Aitkin collected 5 for 87 but Fulfordgate reached 199 for 7.
Steve Bygott 7 for 23 and Paul Oldfield 3 for 42 shot Westow out for 122 with only David Midgley (47) and Chris Earle (27) in double figures.
Tony Moore (4 for 25) and Neil Fensome (4 for 16) shot out Ben Johnson for 72 at North Duffield. Fourteen-year-old Jason Rougeley had a good debut, taking 2 for 29 and a good catch. Martin Reynolds (33) was the only visiting batsman to reach double figures.
Despite Scott Carlton taking three early wickets for the printers David Beilby steered Duffield home and top of division three.
Copmanthorpe, who notched up their fourth consecutive win when dishing out a ten-wicket hammering to Burn, are second.
Burn limped to a miserable 58 for 8 in 40 overs against Kevin Ryder (5 for 18) while John Hughes sent down 16 overs for just 13 runs. Dave Purdy and Roy Atkinson knocked off the runs.
Rob Murray and Chris Walker gave Stillingfleet a sound start at Hirst United reaching 86 before being parted. Wayne Livesey helped take the score to 167 for 6 at tea.
Hirst openers Stuart Bennett and Tony Hinch put on 57 and kept up with the run rate, but their side were thwarted by Chris Woodfine, who bowled throughout for 4 for 75. Hirst required five to win in the last over but skipper Woodfine restricted them to two.
Tollerton are motoring ahead in division four after their maximum points win at Ovington.
Andrew Charlton made 98 and Brian Milburn 49 before both being run out and Richard Clarke (40) and Geoff Bonas (30) took Tollerton to 268 for 8. Alex Janes, aged 13, took 4 for 42 on his debut.
The Tollerton attack was just as powerful as the batting with only David Cole (43) and Keith Stearman (25) in double figures as Ovington were bowled out for 103 to lose by 164 runs.
Steady bowling by Huntington's Mal Storey kept Acomb in check with most of the batsmen getting out when seemingly well set. Kevin Crawford top scored with 35 out of a total of 134 for 6.
Huntington lost wickets at regular intervals but Col Benson and John Walker put together a match-winning ninth wicket partnership of 21 to win the game.
Danny Hennesey and Bob Wrigglesworth hit a flurry of boundaries as Drax looked like running up a mammoth score against Heworth.
But spinner Ken Hyman's 5 for 14 in nine overs slowed the innings down to 158 for 8. But it was still a big enough total as Drax won by 41 runs, Wrigglesworth taking 4 for 30.
Division five leaders Stockton and Hopgrove were stunned when they were bowled out for 82 at Copmanthorpe, whose Andrew Northfield took 4 for 23 and Liam Elliker 3 for 39.
But Nigel Collinson's 5 for 22 shot out Copmanthorpe for 69 to extend his side's lead at the top.
York were struggling at Thorpe Willoughby at 78 for 7, but Tom Copeland came in and crashed an effortless 96 with 12 fours and two sixes to lift the score to 199 for 9.
Spinners Pervez Akhtar and Matt Boyle got to work on the shell-shocked Thorpe Willougby order, York winning by 91 runs.
Joint second with York are Tadcaster Magnet who beat Woodhouse Grange by nine wickets.
Grange managed to achieve just two batting points in their total of 100 for 9 and Tadcaster, inspired by David Coe's half-century, won in the 17th over.
Selby veteran Jim Barr sent down 12 immaculate overs, taking 7 for 11, as Wheldrake collapsed to 49 leaving his batsmen to wrap up a ten-wicket victory.
