AS A resident of Dunnington, a countryside lover and a Labour Party supporter, I have had to put up with a lot over the past year...
Countryside Alliance members who think everyone with a pair of wellies supports them, the hunting supporters who think it is their God-given right to kill wild animals and threaten those who oppose them, whinging fuel protesters and farmers who think they should decide what we should pay in tax, and well-off neighbours who cannot imagine how anyone could elect a Labour Government let alone a Labour MP
Well, now it is my turn to remind them all, this is a democracy and we have all had our chance to elect who we want to govern us and whose policies we want.
You will all get your chance again in four or five years' time. Until then...
