York City Under 15 player Adam Arthur winged his way back from a competition in France with a top trophy, writes Martin Jarred.
The left winger won the player of the tournament award at Millau in France when playing for Bridlington.
The Brid team comprised of players from the East Riding, including several Pocklington Town boys.
They reached the quarter finals of the tournament which also included teams from France and Germany.
Adam, who lives in Heslington, is a student at Fulford School.
The East Yorkshire side won their opening game 4-0 and drew their second 0-0 to top their group but lost 3-0 to a French team in the quarter-finals.
In the first match for places the Brid boys found themselves up against French opposition again and won 3-1 and then defeated another home-based team on penalties to finish sixth overall.
The Bridlington players chose Lee Grant as their player's player of the tournament.
