Pickering are through to the second round of the Travelsphere Top Club Women's Bowls Championship.
They won their first round match 77-71 away to Scalby and Newby in Scarborough.
Pickering won the pairs and triples but lost the singles and fours, leaving the match tied at two rinks each.
But Pickering's eventual triumph was confirmed by winning more shots overall.
Pocklington were beaten 3-1 away to Hull Cottingham in the first round of the same competition.
