Leeds United will be York City's most prestigious pre-season opponents after it was announced the Premiership giants will visit Bootham Crescent on Wednesday, August 8 (kick-off 7.45pm).
The clash with the Minstermen will be one of three against North Yorkshire sides United will undertake during their summer preparations.
David O'Leary's Champions' League semi-finalists will also play Harrogate Town at Wetherby Road on August 13 (7.45pm) and Selby Town at Flaxley Road on August 22, (7.30pm).
The match with Leeds will be one of only two pre-season friendlies arranged by City to be staged at Bootham Crescent.
In the other Terry Dolan's team will tackle Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday, July 31, (7.45pm).
Leeds kick-off their pre-season schedule with a tour of Sweden, a match in Dublin and friendlies also arranged with Scunthorpe United and Preston North.
