ALMOST 100 youngsters were thrilled last week when a trio of City stars joined in their football fun week run by the Minstermen's Football in the Community scheme.
New striker Peter Duffield and veterans Wayne Hall and Chris Fairclough turned up at the York College site to present certificates and prizes to the boys and girls, aged from six to 15.
"It makes the youngsters' week seeing the City players," said Football in the Community officer Paul Olsson.
Places are still available at the next sessions, at North Duffield Playing Fields, starting on Tuesday for three days, between 10am and 3pm each day. Anyone interested can turn up on the day or phone Olsson on 01904 613017 for details.
"The courses have been excellent and all in all it's been a good summer," he added.
