KEVIN Hulme's double blast against Torquay United last week saw the midfielder climb into mid-table in the Evening Press/Unique Pub Co player of the year rankings.
The leadership remained unchanged although Wayne Hall kept himself in the race by picking up a solitary point on his return to the starting line-up.
David McNiven also closed the gap on the front-runners by picking up the remaining two points and is hanging on the coattails of the leading quartet.
While goalkeeper Alan Fettis was unable to stretch his advantage at the top of the pile confirmation of his form came this week in Match magazine's player of the month survey when was proclaimed City's top player.
This season's player of the year format sees City's man of the match in each game receive three points, the second best player receive two points and the third best one point.
Whoever tops the table at the end of the season wins not only the annual trophy but also a £350 cash prize courtesy of Unique Pub Co, with the runner-up receiving £150.
