Three father and son couples figured in a Tyke Petroleum York Men's Tennis League match when Cawood II took on Knaresborough III in division six.
Tom and Paul Dennon with Mark and Daniel Butts helped bottom club Cawood break their duck in a 61-47 victory against Knaresborough, whose Keith and Paul Wrigglesworth top-scored with 24 games.
Boston Spa II hammered Bishopthorpe II 70-38 to take top spot in the division, Tony Hopkins and Malcolm Barnes winning 28 games.
Steve Smye and James Pettit scored 25 of third-placed Wheldrake II's 68 games in the win over Sheriff Hutton.
Dunnington remained top of the first division after beating third-placed Wigginton 71-37. Top scorers for Dunnington were Kevin Todd and Mike Taylor with 25 games.
Unbeaten Poppleton had an easy 79-29 win at Civil Service where Duncan prior and Robert Moore led the way with 29 games.
York earned their first point, drawing 54-54 with Bubwith, whose Ian Driffil and Jonathan Sharpe picked up 28 games. Peter Sutherland and John Linfoot replied with 21 for York.
Howard Pallister and John Logan's 28 games steered York II to a first win in division two as they triumphed 69-39 at Sherburn.
Strensall won 59-46 at Copmanthorpe with Richard Pears and Pat Atkinson collecting eight games in each round.
Wheldrake gained revenge over their rivals Appleton Roebuck at the top of division three, winning 69-39. David McDermott and Colin Brooks led the way with 25 games as Wheldraske reversed the results from earlier in the season.
Bishopthorpe cemented third place with a 75-33 win against Fulford with all their three couples scoring 25.
Unbeaten Boston Spa beat Wigginton II 77-31 in division four, 28 games coming from Gordon Milne and Andrew Elliott.
Copmanthorpe II, in second spot, lost 63-45 to Strensall II, Owen Berger and Daniel Pillai racking up 25 games for Strensall while Dave Kershaw and Andy White scored on unbeaten 20 for the losers.
Appleton Roebuck II earned their first points of the season with a 62-46 victory over Heworth, Mike Hickman and Graham Scattergood scoring 26 games. Alan Bradshaw and Jason Clarke responded with 21 games.
Sutton-upon-Derwent moved to the top of division five after dishing out a 68-40 defeat to Rufforth. Previous leaders Cliffe lost 63-45 to Knaresborough II and third-placed Selby squeaked home 55-53 against Dunnington II.
Steve Parr and Francis Milvojevic amassed 30 games for Selby and not even a 12-0 success from Mike Jenkins and Mike Walker could pull Dunnington round.
Stuart Fryer and Rod Oxtoby won 27 games as Riccall II defeated pointless Civil Service II 65-43.
