A good 6-3 win over Groves has hoisted Lighthorseman to seven points clear in York John Smith's Men's League division two.

Their nearest challengers, Sun 'A' and Victoria Vaults, both lost.

Vaults went down 5-4 to Institute 'A' for whom Rich Hardy hit 180 while Sun slipped up 6-3 to Flag.

Flag's captain Paul Calpin threw a fine 19 darter while Sun's Doug Sutcliffe included a 180 score.

Ged McMahon starred in Swan's 5-4 victory over Green Tree 'A'. Paul Hayes and Liam Sumpter won the decider.

Division one leaders Shepherd 'B' had Mick Willsden gaming in 20 in a 7-2 scoreline at Saddle.

Holgate's Adrian Harris included a maximum but their only winner at Yearsley was Pete West, gaming in 21 darts.

Poacher's skipper Gary Hannigan finished in 21 but Shepherd 'B' forced them to take the last two for victory. Andy Littlewood and Trevor Day levelled giving Ray McInally and Gary Kynman the glory.

Kelvin Frankel (20) led Trafalgar to a 6-3 win at Dringhouses while Tree 'B' were given the match win by Darren Hoban and Dave Fotheringham, but Jack Hodgson and John Holden secured the aggregate for Osbaldwick on the last game.
