The Hunters the Estate Agent York and District Senior League Joe Lumb Under-17 side hammered Halifax by ten wickets at Old Crossleyans on Sunday.
Halifax struggled to 141 and the runs were knocked off by openers Nathan Briggs (Clifton Alliance) with 63 not out, and Leon Sachs (Acomb) with 65 not out.
That was in stark contrast to Halifax, whose opening batsmen were both back in the pavilion before the tenth over after struggling against the bowling of Richard Bentley (Thirsk) and James Edgerton (Scarborough).
The Halifax innings regrouped as C Roy and S Wood shared a steady partnership before the latter was caught behind by Luke Jennison (Scarborough) off the bowling of Alister Wray (Clifton Alliance) for 17.
A bowling change by York brought Matthew Beckett (Stamford Bridge) and Duncan Snell (Sheriff Hutton Bridge) into the attack and they soon struck.
Roy (23) was caught by Tom Malloch (Clifton Alliance) off Beckett, and S Clark was caught by Briggs off Snell's bowling.
Only three other batsmen troubled the York bowling attack G Hayes 25, C Fletcher and C Sanderson 24 before the innings ended.
