ATTENDING a united service at our local chapel, head bowed in prayer, I noticed quite an infestation of woodworm in the chair in front.
Later, over a cup of tea, I pointed this out to a senior chapel member.
He said he would deal with it, then added, with a very serious face but a twinkle in his eye: "We have quite a problem with dry rot in the pulpit too." I came away with a prayer and a smile.
