I WRITE in response to your article on page 12 on June 2 about the Civic Trust award to York's City Screen.
I know Haxby Hall Residential Home for the elderly won an award when it was built in 1965 by Sorrell & Co and the plaque is still to be seen on the wall to the left of the main entrance door.
I should be interested to know of any later awards.
I P Gutherless (nee Hare),
former matron of Haxby Hall,
Mulberry Court,
York.
