Hello, folks. Evening Press here.

I've been on tenterhoofs all week waiting for 'the big one' tomorrow - the Vodafone Derby.

I always get excited in the build-up to the big races - and I'm not even running in them!

Imagine what I'll be like if I get the chance to run in something like the Derby?

Tomorrow I'll be finding a stable with a big screen to watch the Epsom Classic and get a few tips from my idols.

I've heard about something called tactics which I've been told I might pick up by watching the stars in action.

Another race I'll be keeping an eye on is the Tony Bethell Memorial Handicap at Pontefract on Monday night.

Running in that will be Northern Echo who is owned by the readers of the newspaper of the same name.

I wish I could get the chance to run against Echo, it would be racing's own version of the York City-Darlington rivalry.

Of course we all know who would come out on top. I'd never let my owners down.

I can't wait to show you all what I can do and that date might not be too far away now because I'm really getting into shape.

I'm glowing with pride because Tim says he couldn't be more pleased with me.

You can check out my progress for yourself soon because we're arranging another date for you all to come and see me again on the gallops.

As soon as I've made an appointment at the horse dressers - I always want to look my best in public you know - then we'll set the date, which will probably be before the end of the month.

Can't wait to catch up with you all again.

Regards
