I HAVE waited many years for this, but, boy, did I laugh when I read Paul Hepworth's latest contribution to your columns ('Delivery dilemmas,' June 4).
You know, the man with the bike who knows no other form of transport and derides anyone who dares to travel otherwise. You see, motorised transport does have its advantages and is absolutely essential in some cases.
The next time I am at Monks Cross and pass Mr Hepworth sitting on his swivel chair, trying to thumb a lift I shall doff my hat and wish him good day.
A L Rowntree,
Walmer Carr,
York.
