VOLUNTEER ARMS'A' announced their arrival in Cueball Summer Pool League division one by beating Huntington 'A' helped by two wins from Andy Green.

Glen Raisbeck and Ian Baxter won two each as Health Club put Cueball Club 'A' to the sword.

Steve Bradley won the last two frames to give Layerthorpe 'A' victory over Edinburgh Arms. Al Henderson also won twice.

Lee Winspear included a total clearance as Layerthorpe 'B' triumphed at Cueball 'B'. Joe Goddard clinched the tie with the last two frames.

White Rose opened their division two campaign with a big win at Burton Stone helped by two each from Rob Scott, Ian Smith, Andy Wade and Tony Leach.

Dave Raymond and Dawn Paylor won two each as Bishopthorpe SC won at Punch Bowl.

John Hollingsworth and Dave Butler rattled off the last four frames for Turf Tavern 'B' to win at Cygnet.

John Harris won twice as Acomb Hotel overcame Tam O Shanter 'A'.

Huntington 'B' started with a good win after two each from Steve Armstrong, Ian Cox and Mark Bowes sealed Ainsty's fate.

Bay Horse Fulford 'A' sent out a message to the rest of division three by whitewashing Fulford Arms.

A Spain and Wayne Smith won two each to give Crystal Palace victory over Bay Horse 'B'.

Poppleton Rd WMC started with a win despite Dave Hannigan and Nathan Witty winning two each for Turf Tavern 'B'.

Mark Douglas for Brown Cow and Nigel Macdonald for Dick Turpin won two each in the only drawn match in the league.
