A walking stick maker who supplies pieces of wood to cult religions in the USA is to feature on television.
Keith Pickering, who runs a workshop at the Helmsley Walled Garden, will appear in Luke Casey's Dales Dairy on ITV later this month.
Earlier this year the Evening Press highlighted how Mr Pickering was making a good living supplying sticks from English trees to pagan religious groups.
"It all happened when I set up a website advertising my walking stick business," he said.
"I make walking sticks by turning wood on a lathe - when I received a request via e-mail from someone in America requesting bits of wood I thought it was a joke. As they are practising an ancient pagan religion they can only use English wood which is not available over there."
Mr Pickering has been assured the practices are innocent forms of worship.
Dales Diary will be screened on Tyne Tees on Thursday, June 21, and on Yorkshire TV on Tuesday June 26, both at 7.30pm.
