Minstermen manager Terry Dolan is anxious York City finish the season with a bang rather than a whimper when Kidderminster Harriers visit Bootham Crescent tomorrow.

The City chief has underlined his desire for a finishing flurry to the season by indicating he intends to name his strongest possible team, resisting the temptation to flood the team with youth team players.

However, in an attempt to freshen things up after Tuesday night's disappointing defeat and performance at Shrewsbury, Dolan has hinted at a switch of formations.

Having stuck to a 5-3-2 formation in recent weeks, the City chief is contemplating a return to 4-4-2 on Saturday.

"It is fair to say last Saturday was a big relief to everybody and having had such a long-trip down to Torquay and back and then to Shrewsbury on Tuesday it took a bit out of the players," reasoned Dolan.

"But now we are at home I think we owe it to our supporters to turn in a good performance.

"If you finish the season everyone goes away happy and we want to please the supporters."

Whatever his tactical-tinkerings, there will be at least one definite change to City's starting line-up.

As reported, Lee Bullock has been ruled out after badly twisting his ankle at Shrewsbury.

Although Dolan has not yet named his starting line-up, skipper Steve Agnew is favourite to get the nod in a straight swap for the young midfielder.

In better news for City, goalkeeper Alan Fettis has been declared fit after recovering from a dead leg suffered at Gay Meadow.

* York City manager Terry Dolan is predicting tears for Torquay United tomorrow in their do or die duel at Barnet.

At the fans' forum at the beginning of last month, Dolan forecast tomorrow's tussle at Underhill between the Bees and the Gulls could be make or break for both teams.

The City manager has now been proved right after Halifax drew with Brighton last night to safeguard the Shaymen's future.

Dolan now thinks home advantage and their infamous sloping pitch could prove decisive for the Bees.

"Torquay showed quite a lot spirit last week against us but Barnet isn't one of the easiest grounds to go to and it is a big advantage to the home team.

"If I was a betting man, I would suggest Barnet might stay up."
