Duncan Snell starred for Sheriff Hutton Bridge in their 50 run win over Stamford Bridge in York and District Junior Cricket Association's NatWest Under-15 League.
He scored 94 not out in 18 overs as Sheriff Hutton Bridge made 126 for three. With 20 extras, the other batsmen scored only 12 runs.
York had a nine wicket win over newcomers Kirk Deighton, J. Hulse with 4-6 and Tom Pringle (28 not out) seeing York home.
Dunnington started well, with J Bolam (46) and B Hough (36) scoring well in a 38 run win over Heworth.
Escrick Park beat Ovington by 17 runs in a low scoring game.
J Barret scored 66 as Acomb beat Bolton Percy by 90 runs.
Bad weather hampered the start of the Junior Cricket Association's YSS Ltd Under-13 League season, with only one game being played.
