Goals in the first minute of each half secured the York FA Saturday Senior Cup for Pocklington in a 2-0 final win over new league champions Old Malton.
The match got off to a flying start when, after only one minute of the game gone, Pocklington took the lead.
A tame shot by Charlie Bond on the right wing was spilled by the Old Malton 'keeper McDermid to a grateful Richard Millet to score into an empty goal.
Pocklington again went close when Robert Eeles cracked the ball against the bar, and it was the woodwork yet again that saved Old Malton when a 35-yard drive clipped the woodwork with the keeper stranded.
As the half progressed Old Malton came more into the game, but most of the goal-bound shots were from long range, although a snap shot from Mick Henderson brought a reaction save from Pocklington 'keeper Carl Silburn.
The second half followed the pattern of the first with Pocklington netting again one minute into the half to give them a 2-0 scoreline.
A shot from Bond on the right was cruelly deflected past McDermid.
Henderson missed a clear chance to reduce the arrears for Old Malton with the Pocklington keeper out of his goal.
With time running out Millet missed the chance for a second goal and Old Malton's Neil Wilford shot against the bar.
Brian Shearer of York FA made the presentations.
