I COULD not believe that York had not been included in the top 20 nationwide shopping attractions. This was astounding news since York is such a vibrant and thriving city.
York offers a wide range of amenities and attractions. I live in Leeds but, most pay days, I'm quick to jump on the train, to visit my favourite high street.
Often on a lovely day out in your beautiful city, I really just can't decide which shop to fling my money at first, being an avid browser, and a self-confessed shopaholic. I'm faced with so many decisions due to so much choice that I often buy all I can, then return the following week to grab the rest.
The shop staff are generally friendly and nice. This isn't always found in some of the larger cities. After a few hours shopping, there's plenty of cafs to have a cappuccino, and I can often be found sitting for ten minutes of peace and quiet in some of the little churches, scattered around and in between shops.
I also find the city an immaculate, litter-free environment with exceptionally high standards. I look forward to pay day, and my next exciting trip to York.
