WHY is the Evening Press backing GNER to continue its operation of the East Coast railway line? I have been informed that the GNER price for a return ticket to Newcastle is £25 return and for the same journey the Virgin price is £12 return. Is there some hidden agenda or is it that Virgin can give the same service at a much reduced price?
