I RECENTLY spent ten days on ward 26 of York District Hospital. The care, consideration and overall atmosphere on ward 26 was outstanding. Positive attitudes and cheerfulness spread around by all personnel from all departments.
The nursing staff suffered the usual shortage of staff, but this was never allowed to affect the care professionally delivered to the patient.
The ladies who cleaned the ward and served the meals warrant a mention. They were polite and patient and so well dressed!
I thank them all.

...MAY I express my thanks and gratitude to ward 26, York District Hospital, for the excellent care and attention my husband received whilst in their care recently.
I have read so many horror stories of filthy wards and the indifferent care people have received, I thought it would make a welcome change for some credit to be given where it is deservedly due. Many thanks.
