Torquay United's talented Scottish striker David Graham has a good chance of playing in the Gulls' vital final home game of the season against York City tomorrow.
Graham was taken off in the second half of Torquay's priceless 2-1 midweek home win over Darling-ton amid fears he had suffered a recurrence of a hamstring injury.
However, United's caretaker manager, Colin Lee, maintains the former Scottish Under-21 was taken off merely as a precaution.
"It tightened up and stiffened and, although David tried to stretch it off during the match, it was the right thing to do to get him off before he did any serious damage," said Lee.
"David has not pulled or strained the hamstring, he feels okay and hopefully he will be all right."
Also back in the frame for City's arrival is on-loan right-back Ryan Green. The Welsh international, from Wolves, missed the Darlington game because of back trouble and was replaced by first-year pro Matthew Hockley.
But Lee reported: "Ryan feels a lot better than he did earlier in the week, and has an outside chance."
Definitely out is leading scorer Eifion Williams with a calf injury and, should Graham be ruled out, then John Gayle, match winner in midweek, could make a rare start.
The experienced frontman has been a target of the Plainmoor boo-boys since arriving from Shrews-bury in December but his first goal for the club has eased the pressure.
A five-match unbeaten run has given Torquay a fighting chance of beating the drop after seemingly being relegation certainties a few weeks ago.
However, even if they win tomorrow, their fate will only be decided on the last day of the season when they travel to Barnet for what threatens to be a make or break tie.
