A lorry driver was killed when his vehicle crashed on the M62 near Goole.
The man was found in a neighbouring field after the lorry, which was carrying wooden pallets, crashed into barriers on the westbound stretch of motorway at Ouse Bridge between junctions 36 and 37.
He was pronounced dead at hospital in Goole following the crash, which happened just before 11pm last night.
The lorry's load was scattered across the road and police closed the westbound carriageway. Two lanes were reopened early today.
Police have not yet named the driver as they are still contacting his relatives.
