The pilot of a light aircraft was killed after his plane crashed near a North Yorkshire airfield late this afternoon.
Fire engines and the North and West Yorkshire Air Ambulance attended the accident, which happened near Sherburn-in-Elmet.
The cause of the crash is not yet known. Nobody else was hurt in the accident.
